TCU CEO... Outreach Through Entrepreneurship
As one of the largest student organzations on the TCU campus and also one of the largest chapters in the nation of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, we realize the importance of outreach.
Our mission through "outreach" is to educate, inspire, and assist others in the area which we know best. That area is Entrepreneurship. In determining our outreach efforts, we want to have an impact on young aspiring entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries and entrepreneurs in our community.
As a educational extracurricular organization, we look for outreach opportunities that deliver a sustainable impact on both our members involved in outreach and the recipients of our efforts. The below three initiatives meet these requirements.
An Entrepreneurial "Hand Up" From Afar...
Through a non-profit organization called Kiva, TCU CEO adopts opportunities to assist aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries through our microlending initiative. TCU CEO is making this initiative a model for other universities across the nation and world to follow. To date, we have given over $2,000 away to aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries. To learn more, please visit the TCU CEO Microlending Initiaitive website today. If your university student based entrepreneurship program would like to learn how we launched our program, please contact Neeley Entrepreneurship Program Assistant Director Brad Hancock at brad.hancock@tcu.edu.
Students that are active members of TCU CEO that are interested in learning about our efforts (and possibly being on the microlending committee) should contact Neeley Entrepreneurship Program Assistant Director Brad Hancock.
TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
The TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is hosted by TCU's Nationally recognized Neeley Entrepreneurship Program. The awards program was established to recognize Texas high school age entrepreneurs for their success in business. The award is open to any Texas high school student who has started and is currently managing a business. To be eligible you must be currently enrolled in high school. Each year, TCU CEO members (college level) assist the leadership of the Neeley Entrepreneirship Program in facilitating the two days of events surrounding the awards. This allows the finalists in the awards program the opportunity to interact with successful college age entrepreneurs at TCU. If you are a high school student, we are glad you are using the TCUCEO.org website and hope you find it helpful. Be sure and learn more about the TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards at their new website at www.tcuyeya.org.
